Job Overview:
Senior Network Engineers are responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing the local, wide area, and cloud network infrastructure of Phillip Nova to ensure maximum uptime, security, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Network Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and install network solutions including routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco, FortiGate), SD-WAN, and AWS cloud networking (VPCs, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect), integrated with on-prem infrastructure.
- Security & Compliance: Administer firewalls, enforce security policies, perform device hardening, and ensure compliance with standards like ISO, NIST, and MAS TRM.
- Operations & Maintenance: Perform routine network maintenance, patching, and upgrades to ensure high availability, stability, and performance across hybrid environments (MPLS, SD-WAN, cloud).
- Monitoring & Documentation: Utilize monitoring and analytics tools to track performance and incidents, while maintaining detailed documentation of configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Lead root cause analysis and provide Level 3 support for complex issues, ensuring minimal downtime and service disruption.
- Collaboration & Optimization: Work closely with internal teams and vendors to implement, support, and continuously improve network infrastructure and adopt best practices.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in network engineering.
- Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, AWS (or other cloud certifications).
- Strong understanding of core protocols (IPSEC, BGP, HSRP, OSPF, HA).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, HPE, Sophos, and AWS platforms.
