Restaurant Host/Hostess

Job Summary:

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service. This role is responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing waiting lists, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming dining experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage reservations and attend to walk-ins guests.
• Assign tables according to server rotation and guest preferences.
• Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate estimated waiting times.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus with a smile.
• Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or take reservations.
• Communicate guest needs or special requests to the FOH team.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the reception and entrance areas.
• Uphold company standards for appearance, attitude, and hygiene.

Job Requirements:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, outgoing, and customer-service oriented.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Previous experience in F&B or hospitality will be an advantage.
