Fund Accountant

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our finance team. The Fund Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely accounting and reporting of our investment fund and other operating entities. This role requires a strong understanding of financial instruments, fund structures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain accurate accounting records for our investment fund and other operating entities, including monthly cash reconciliations, trade processing, and expense accruals.
2. Prepare and review monthly net asset value (NAV) calculations for the investment fund.
3. Prepare financial statements and other regulatory filings in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and local regulations.
4. Assist with year-end audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
5. Monitor and ensure compliance with fund governing documents, investment policies, and regulatory guidelines.
6. Skilled in filing tax returns independently.
7. Perform additional duties as needed to ensure smooth business operations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within a fund administrator, asset management firm, or financial services institution.
3. Proficiency in fund accounting software (Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
5. CA / CPA / ACCA candidates will be advantageous.
6. Fluency in both written and spoken Mandarin Chinese is required to facilitate effective communication with Mandarin-speaking counterparts.
