I frequently come here for dinner after attending church with my mates nearby. If you are new to this restaurant, you must get the xiao long baos. And staples like the fried rice or the dan dan noodles cannot go wrong. This restaurant can typically get very crowded during dinner time, usually until 8 PM, so be ready for a bit of a wait.

Din Tai Fung needs no introduction, and at its Raffles City outlet, the experience holds up to its dependable reputation—with a few pleasant surprises. The standout, as always, is the fried rice. Fragrant, fluffy, and expertly wok-fried, it remains one of the most satisfying comfort dishes on the menu. Whether you go for the shrimp or pork chop variation, the rice consistently delivers on flavor and texture. It’s simple, but always spot-on. The xiao long bao, a signature item, is best enjoyed fresh from the steamer. On this visit, the dumplings arrived piping hot, with delicate skins that held their broth just long enough to make it to your spoon. The filling was juicy and well-seasoned, though—as any DTF regular knows—timing is everything. Lingering too long and the magic fades. Service was smooth and efficient. Staff were attentive without being overbearing, and dishes arrived at a good pace. It’s worth noting that there was no queue on a Sunday evening, which is highly unusual for this location. Whether it was a lucky lull or a new norm, it made the dining experience noticeably more relaxed. Overall, Din Tai Fung at Raffles City maintains the brand’s hallmark consistency in both food and service. While it doesn’t offer surprises, it doesn’t need to. It’s a reliable stop for a quality meal—especially when there’s no queue to contend with. Verdict: Still one of the safest bets for a satisfying Chinese meal in town. Highlight: Fried rice. Always. Would I return? Yes—especially if that no-queue trend continues.

Edited review: "Walking past was a lucky choice. The food was excellent, fresh, delicious, and high quality. We could watch the team preparing dumplings from our table. Staff were friendly and very efficient."

Honestly, this is my all-time favourite. Not the most expensive. Not the cheapest. It's a very good place to grab a proper meal if you want something better than your day-to-day meal. Staff members are usually fast and responsive. Food standards have remained the same since they first came to Singapore many years ago. I will be back again. In fact, I have been back many times 💯

The food is just great here! All the dim sum, cucumber salad, beef... everything was so tasty! And the signature black vinegar chili sauce... heaven! I want to eat it every day! Duck rolls and crab dim sum were not so much to our personal taste, but I certainly don't mind ordering them. Call me old-school, but for a complete experience, I need more human touch — while ordering or in the service. The system of ordering online and receiving food as in a factory is just not for me. I would give 4.5 out of 5.
