It's okay. The uni was good, but staff was pressuring me to eat my uni. I felt, however, that it would have taken over most of the sushi box's flavours. I did so anyway. It was annoying to eat with the sushi box, which is made of cheap material that doesn't hold its shape well. Miso soup was meh. Anago from the sushi box was decent. Maybe get the anago set instead.

We were super pampered by the attentive Chef Daniel, who explained every dish to us and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Thank you, Chef Daniel, for such a memorable experience. We will return and highly recommend!

Here's the edited review: It would have been better if the sashimi fish were sliced thicker and more consistently. It was quite thin and not sliced properly; the serving was also small for a $39 price tag. I think other Japanese restaurants, such as Tomi Sushi, have done a better job at freshness and authenticity for chirashi sushi. Koji has a good concept for the chirashi combination with raw egg yolk and grated yama-imo, but the fish slices were too thin. Ambience: We didn't enjoy the noise, as the acoustics were not good. It was too noisy when the restaurant was full at lunch. Verdict: The service staff was very attentive. It's an eat-and-go place. Overall, it's overhyped, and they need to watch out for hygiene when preparing raw fish. Slicing and dicing next to the washing sink is not a good idea. This poses a contamination risk; they should find a proper counter for fish preparation.

Pretty decent and affordable option if you're craving sushi. They do scale their menu to be wallet-friendly, but if you want the good stuff, you gotta pay. The atmosphere by the counter is really nice, and service is pretty attentive. I did see solo diners just pop in to eat a quick meal. I'll probably be popping in once in a while too.

I had a great experience at Koji Sushi Bar in Raffles City. The fish was incredibly fresh and high quality. The server was friendly and attentive, offering helpful recommendations that made the meal even better. I went during lunchtime, and the place was very busy and crowded, so it’s best to arrive early or be prepared for a wait. A solid choice for sushi lovers looking for fresh seafood and warm service in a convenient city location.
