This is my best experience at Putien. I'm from Malaysia and have tried many branches there, but I am so satisfied with this Putien branch in Singapore. The food is delicious and the service is good! The waitress named Su Ling is so friendly and helpful ❤️ She kept checking on us to make sure we were fine with our food.

Putien has always delivered in terms of service. The service staff are polite and attentive, checking on food and asking for feedback. They also have good knowledge of items and recommend suitable choices. Seafood is fresh and sweet (鲜甜). The best way to cook seafood is to let its natural flavour tantalise our tastebuds, without using too much sauce to overwhelm the taste. The soup looks bland, but I think we should not focus solely on presentation. The vegetable and beancurd soup is light, not too flavourful yet not bland. I love the natural flavour (清而不淡). Crispy duck with yam is crunchy. It's fried yet not oily (香脆). Unfortunately, the fried mee sua was a little clumpy last night. It was off their usual standard.

I was calling Putien at Raffles City to ask for directions, and Kelvin not only guided me but also proactively asked for my takeaway order so it could be prepared ahead of my arrival. This thoughtful gesture saved me waiting time and made the whole experience smooth and pleasant. Really appreciate Kelvin’s initiative and excellent customer service!

We had our team lunch here on 元宵节. The food standards are great. Putien hardly disappoints. My only comment would be that the roast pork in the 盆菜 was quite tough. What really made the experience great was the service. “Singing” was our server and she was so good. She greeted us at the table in Chinese, but the moment she noticed we had non-Chinese members in the group, she switched to English. She was attentive the whole time, and she made sure food was transferred to smaller plates without us asking. She never forgot our requests. She would tell us she would get to it because she was busy at the moment, but she always got it done. Thank you Singing for making our dining experience so wonderful!

Had my team project wrap up here. Top-class Fujianese cuisine, which relies on delicate cooking techniques. The high note was the simmered abalone, which was bursting with complex flavor and freshness of the sea. So good that it made the rest of the meal feel a little underwhelming by comparison. The crackling suckling pig was nice but can be a bit messy when consumed (by hand, plastic gloves are provided). The sides of simmered pork intestine and kelp were done so well that I can't see them the same way anymore. The waiters were quite attentive and proactive as well. Oh, and I almost forgot the Da Hong Pao oolong tea, which is one of the best teas from Fujian province. My lao ban, who happens to be a tea fan, recommended it to me, and I don't regret it at all. Calming and mild, it offered surprises at the end of the sip (some fermentation notes), which further elevated the whole experience.
