My colleague and I ordered the Christmas truffle udon and truffle fried rice. Food was hot. We loved the Christmas turkey, and my favourite has got to be the truffle fried rice!

Everything you need for great fried rice in a deceptively small box. The Japanese rice was fluffy and distinct, and if you can handle spice, add the chilli for the extra kick! Most importantly, as the name suggests, there’s great Wok Hey! 🤤🤤🤤

Service was good. Food was well prepared. The only thing I can say is that the waiting time made me a little impatient. I waited around 15 minutes for my food. Perhaps there were many other orders, I'm not sure. I just feel it would be better if the staff could improve their efficiency. I just feel frustrated when I go to stores like this for a fast food grab, and encounter wait times slower than dining preparation.

Tried the cauliflower fried rice with grilled chicken, kale, and chilli ($2.5 upgrade from normal fried rice). Interesting and tasty enough, and good that they have this healthier option. Though I'll likely go back to the original egg fried rice next time.

I must say, the Abalone Black Pepper Fried Rice Max exceeded my expectations. The fried rice was flavourful, with peppery and garlicky notes. For the price, I assumed the abalone would be tiny and rubbery, but I was wrong! The abalone tasted so good and was succulent. The sweet, juicy pineapples were a great addition to balance out the peppery fried rice.

Got their Xmas edition “Truffle Fried Rice Max”. It also came with a pretty Xmas edition takeaway box. The moment I opened it, there was a strong, earthy truffle smell. But the fried rice did not have an overpowering truffle taste, which was good. Similar to their egg fried rice, it was generously coated with egg. The cheesy chicken bratwurst was snappy, and there was lots of cheese inside. It actually also came with dried cranberries and macadamia nuts in the fried rice, but I requested not to add them because I don't like sweet or crunchy ingredients in my fried rice.

I placed a pickup order at around 12:08 PM, and the initial waiting time stated was 10-20 minutes. I am extremely disappointed having to wait not just 40 minutes, but closer to an hour for the order, despite the initial 10-20 minute estimate. And guess what? There were no updates at all, and I don't know where my order is.
Furthermore, when I asked the staff to check if my order was ready, he simply brushed it aside and told me to wait for the SMS. This was despite having experienced issues with SMS notifications from other outlets previously, where no notification was sent even after my order was ready. However, staff at those other outlets bothered to check whether my order was indeed prepared. I also noticed that on-site orders were prepared quickly, and customers who arrived way later than my order time received their orders ahead of me.
The attached photos clearly show the order time and the revised estimated time of 20-30 minutes. It is absolutely ridiculous to understate your waiting times and make me wait for no reason, and to make me pay in advance for something that I will not receive? While I understand it's the lunch crowd, at least state a longer waiting time and do not be overconfident about the estimated time your staff can prepare orders. Additionally, do teach your team to be more proactive in checking orders, in case there are issues with the SMS notification system. I even saw an order that looks like mine, which has been sitting there for some time without anyone collecting it. Yet upon inquiry, I was just told to "wait for the SMS." At the time of writing this, I still have yet to receive any SMS notification.
Update: Received SMS notification, but do you seriously expect me to wait 2.5 hours??? This is such a joke, Wok Hey, please wake up your idea 😡

There’s no dine-in here, only takeout. Fried rice, fried noodles: everything is cooked to order and packed in a small cardboard box. Just grab it and eat wherever you like.
With all sorts of meat combos and different seasonings, the fried rice and fried noodles taste good!

On days when I’m too lazy to cook dinner, my husband and I would troop down to Wok Hey and order fried rice with two add-ons to share. I'd then make a simple soup on the side.
So far, we’ve tried the egg, Shanghai, and XO fried rice, all with extra prawns (or beef) and vegetables. The Shanghai fried rice wasn't good because we didn't like the sambal used to flavor it. I'm not sure if it's the same sambal they use when you ask for chili on the side with the egg fried rice, but regardless, the sambal didn't enhance the fried rice's flavor.
The XO fried rice wasn't too bad, but we think the egg fried rice is still the best so far. My husband is quite pleased that he can now easily get good "wok hey" fried rice without having to sit down at a zi char stall or a Chinese restaurant.
