Ordered Kaya Toast and Butter Set, and a hot honey lemon.
Kaya Toast was a bit too sweet for me. The soft-boiled eggs with white pepper and soy sauce were delicious, though they were not hot at all when served.
Since we decided to sit at the dining place across from the restaurant, they only served our order as takeaway.

Food is standard Ya Kun quality, but the queue and wait here are ridiculous!

Signature breakfast of Singapore. The original kaya toast is kind of sweet. If you prefer a less sweet option, try the butter toast. The Yuan Yang is a mix of coffee, tea, and milk. It's a "weird" taste but worth trying. The space is quite small, but it opens early!

The tea tasted so bad that 3 of us just took a few sips and gave up. Didn't bother to exchange because the guy making the tea doesn't seem properly trained. No point in exchanging and ending up with the same bad tea. Seating at the newly renovated place is good. But definitely won't patronise this outlet again.

The egg had eggshells inside. The sauce is missing (they used to include it). The tea tastes like tea water with milk. Diluted and awful.

The man behind the counter did not know how to talk nicely, even with his body language. I could see he was pissed off with the customer before me, so I hoped he wouldn't pass that anger on to me, but I was wrong.
As I was alone, I could not reserve a table, and the only available table was taken by a couple who had just come in. Then this uncle told me to take the tray away from the counter without even looking if there were any free tables. When I was about to take the tray, he said, "Take everything." Well, everything means what? I was waiting for my toast, so was I supposed to wait for everything before taking the tray, or just take the tray and wait for my order? The way he reacted really intimidated me. I felt like I was begging for food. This ruined my whole appetite.
To be honest, the food here isn't even something to die for. With the rudeness of the staff, I won't ever come back.

The restaurant is located on the B1 level. It is quite small with limited seating space. Kaya Toast Set A comes with a hot drink, 2 soft-boiled eggs, and Kaya toast. The food tastes similar to other branches. The service was not friendly when I visited at 4 PM on Saturday.

It’s nice to have a lot of Yakun branches. This branch is located on B1 of Raffles City Mall, which is near the Swissotel where I stayed, so I enjoyed Yakun kaya toast during my free time. Although it’s not very special, if you come to Singapore, you must try kaya toast. (But peanut jam toast is delicious as well.) If you are not particularly interested in the originality of Yakun's kaya toast, there are various other kaya toast restaurants, so you can enjoy it in a comfortable place.

Here's the edited review:
"This outlet served a lot of tourists. Being a Singaporean, I am ashamed by how rude the staff is. They were shouting about toast not being collected. I hope the main franchise will consider withdrawing this brand from the business owner."

Good food, delicious kaya toast – it's one of my favourite places for breakfast.
