Osaka Ohsho at Raffles City represents Singapore's premier destination for authentic Japanese-style Chinese cuisine, strategically located at #B1-75 of the iconic Raffles City Shopping Centre on North Bridge Road. This renowned restaurant brings the flavors of Osaka to Singapore's bustling central business district, proudly billing itself as "Osaka's king of gyoza" since establishing its presence in the city. As part of Raffles City's extensive dining options, Osaka Ohsho offers both locals and tourists an accessible taste of Japan's beloved dumpling culture in the heart of Singapore's urban core.
The restaurant's signature attraction is their expertly crafted pan-fried gyoza dumplings, available at $3.90 for six pieces or $7.80 for twelve, alongside their popular Fuwatoro Tenshin Han featuring pillowy-soft omelette over imported Japanese Koshihikari rice with savory gravy. The menu extends beyond dumplings to include authentic ramen varieties, sautéed leek and pork liver, and innovative fusion dishes like crab meat with egg fu yung style on rice. With modern iPad ordering systems at every table and an average price point of around $15 per person, Osaka Ohsho delivers both convenience and affordability while maintaining the authentic flavors that have made it a favorite among dumpling enthusiasts across Singapore.
Operating from the basement level of Raffles City with easy access via City Hall MRT interchange, Osaka Ohsho serves both the business community and shopping crowds with efficient service and consistent quality. The restaurant offers comprehensive dining options including dine-in, takeaway, and island-wide delivery services, making their famous gyoza and Japanese-Chinese cuisine accessible throughout Singapore. Whether seeking a quick lunch between shopping or a satisfying dinner after exploring the city center, Osaka Ohsho provides an authentic taste of Japanese comfort food in one of Singapore's most connected and convenient locations.
**Mabo Don Set ($16.9++)**
The mabo tofu is not spicy at all. I expect mabo tofu to be at least cooked with their red Szechuan mala spice, but maybe I expect too much. The cheese is good, though they added several kinds of cheese to the dish, but it's not mixed. So, in some parts, you could taste the bland mozzarella, and in others, the salty cheese.
The set comes with gyoza, which YOU MUST TRY. Honestly, the best food in this restaurant is the gyoza! The fried part is crispy, and the inside is juicy and savory!
**Salmon Okawa ($7.9++)**
It's salmon flakes spread out in Japanese sticky rice. It's very bland, actually. But it's pretty good if combined with other dishes. However, it's much stickier and more oily than normal white rice, so choose properly.
**Spicy Cha Shu Ramen Set ($16.9++)**
It's so, so, so, so not spicy at all. And the soup tastes like chicken soup, which is good, but not special. It's not worth the price for me (except for the gyoza that comes with the set, which is SUPERBLY RECOMMENDED!).

Tried their ramen and salted egg mapo tofu twice. Food is served really fast. Enjoyed the ramen, but the mapo tofu was too salty (saltier than the salted egg chicken).
However, both dishes' serving size made them not worth the price. E.g., finished the ramen in under 5 bites.
Valerie Neo
Ordered food at 12:50 PM with an almost full house and waited 30 minutes for a subpar ramen. I was not given any updates until 20 minutes later.
I rarely give Google reviews… The ramen meat was stale and tasteless, and I could taste the yellow noodles.
Chua San
I couldn't really finish the ramen. It was quite salty, and the tea tasted like hot water—super diluted.
Justin Chow
I recently ventured into Osaka Ohsho, enticed by their ramen, and opted for a variety: the Chashu, Pork Chop, and Teriyaki Chicken Ramen, all with a white soup base. While the promise of a hearty, comforting bowl was strong, the reality fell somewhat short.
Let's start with the positives. The protein options were generous. The Chashu was tender, the pork chop had a decent crisp, and the teriyaki chicken offered a sweet-savory contrast. However, the abundance of protein couldn't salvage the deeply flawed broth.
The white soup base, which should have been creamy and rich, was unfortunately overwhelmed by an intense saltiness. It wasn't just a little salty; it was aggressively so, to the point where it became difficult to enjoy the other elements of the dish. Furthermore, the broth's consistency was excessively thick, bordering on gloopy. It felt more like a heavy sauce than a soup, making it difficult to slurp and enjoy.
The noodles themselves were acceptable, cooked to a pleasant chewiness, and the toppings, while not groundbreaking, were fresh and provided some texture. However, they were ultimately overshadowed by the overpowering salt and the unpleasantly thick broth.
In summary, Osaka Ohsho's ramen had the potential to be a satisfying meal, but the excessively salty and thick soup base was a major letdown. The generous portions of protein were a redeeming factor, but not enough to elevate the experience.
Chun Siang
Ordered fried rice and ramen with white broth. Both tasted like sea water, so salty it could replace an IV drip. The gyoza was salty, but it likely comes pre-seasoned. Ironically, the miso soup was the only item that tasted least salty. Please conduct a round of taste tests and review your recipe. Thank you.

We had a quick meal at this restaurant. My friend ordered food but was unable to proceed with the payment due to a processing error, so I told her to order directly. I noticed that the service staff lady, with long hair and wearing eyeglasses, all of a sudden shouted at my friend, asking, "Which table?" and also shouted, "Settle customers one by one!" I don't know who else she was shouting at.
Is it appropriate for a restaurant's staff to shout at a customer like that? Even though the customer was willing to mention which table she was seated at. But to shout like that? That is rude.
We understand the restaurant's situation nowadays: a lack of manpower. But at least show a proper and professional attitude towards customers.
At the end of the day, your company earns money from its customers, so show some professionalism in serving customers properly and with respect.
If the staff is unhappy working in a restaurant, she shouldn't choose to work in one.

First time eating here. I was so disappointed. I have a Japanese husband and have been cooking Japanese meals. Having been to so many Japanese restaurants in Singapore, this is the worst Japanese food I’ve eaten. The staff were busy talking and not serving me; even after she saw me raising my hand, she acted as if she didn't see. The food was placed so rudely. I would say it's not even worth it, even if it were a free meal.
Alex Tan
Got the nankotsu ramen set (ramen, chijimi side, 1 drink).
The nankotsu was decent; the rest of the ramen was all right but nothing very special. Chijimi was so-so. All in all, it wasn't very worth the price.
There was no queue and many free tables, so we could sit and talk without any rush.
Price: $20.26 after GST

A very so-so dining experience for a price that isn't spectacular. Only go if you have a ramen craving for something unique to them and not available in other chains.
The ramen was on the saltier side and didn't come across as entirely Japanese food. It tasted like a mild fusion between Chinese noodles and Japanese ramen. The char siew was alright, but was a thinner cut.
My wife ordered the rice set, and the fusion continued. There was a mapo tofu side, which was sweeter than a typical Chinese version, and felt odd to be considered Japanese. The salted chicken was fine, though again, a little on the saltier side.
Ordering was entirely digital; customers scanned a QR code to order. We came on a late afternoon weekend and were the only customers. However, food took a while to be served, about 15 minutes. Also, our food was not served to us at the same time.
Overall, nothing to scream about.
Meh.
Hoiya Funatic
Rather disappointed. The fried rice used to be very good, but it no longer has that authentic taste. They should consider bringing back the egg soup instead of serving miso. At least, the gyoza still tastes the same.

Mains in this place are just so-so; only the gyoza is nice. Seems like they specialize in dumplings/gyoza?
I ordered the spicy boiled dumpling noodles. The boiled dumplings are average, not much flavour and not even spicy, but the dumpling sauce is yummy to go with them. The dumpling skin is just the right thickness, which made the dumplings very enjoyable to eat. The noodles were quite a disappointment; they tasted pretty bland and lacked complexity. I think BCM tastes better. They were just something to fill my tummy. Overall, the set is affordable.
I enjoyed the gyoza the most for this meal. It is pan-fried perfectly and is very affordable. If I remember correctly, it was less than $1 for one gyoza. Simply delicious. I will only come back for the gyoza.
Lisa Elias
I love the salted egg chicken with rice and miso soup. I always order the same thing whenever I'm here. Today, I tried the fried rice à la carte. It tasted normal. It would be nicer with soy sauce and chili flakes. If you like a simple dish or meal, the à la carte tofu or salted chicken with plain rice and miso soup will be enough. If you know the outlet manager, he's friendly. Don't come during lunchtime. It gets extremely busy. Come weekdays after work or Sundays for dinner. It's less crowded then. Choose the Houji tea. It's refillable.

Here's an edited version of the review:
After shopping in Raffles City, we spotted some Special Offers outside Osaka Ohsho eatery. It was already 3:30 PM, and wifey and I were a little indecisive about whether to eat or not to eat. I suggested we have an 'early dinner.'
I ordered the Scallop Ramen while wifey ordered the Pork Chop Ramen, and each came with 6 pieces of Gyoza and cold Japanese tea, as part of their Lunchtime Special.
The Gyoza were good. We thought 6 pieces for each of us would be too much, but we walloped every piece.
My Scallop Ramen was quite nice; the broth was flavorful. But we felt that their ramen wasn't the springy type we preferred. It would be good if two halves of onsen eggs were served instead of just one half.
Still, the meal was reasonable at $16.90 each.
Diana Perry Nunes
We ordered Pork Chop Ramen, Pork Yakiniku Fried Rice, and Gyoza. The ramen is delicious; the noodles have a nice texture and a tasty broth. The fried rice is also delicious, well seasoned with perfectly cooked egg, but the meat was cold, which made it a bit greasy. The Gyoza were perfect. The beer could also be colder. Overall, it is a pleasant experience to eat here.
